During the first few chapters I came to ask myself, “Where is Max?” You see, his voice in these chapters seemed to be trying to find or reinvent itself. Thankfully, as I entered into chapter five the trying to hard Max was exchanged for the Max Lucado I have come to know and love. Soon I would be back with an old friend chatting in his living room sharing warm funny and heartfelt testimony of how fear was replaced by hope, faith and love to find peace in a complex world.

The author lays out simple yet profound advice for living a happy life “NOW’ by choosing to trust God and the plan He has for us while releasing ourselves from the illusions of the material world.
