This should be our identity.

I am a firm believer in the teachings of Jesus. The problem is the Christians who only think they do. Since I started a study group I have had a very uncomfortable feeling, stemming from some demands regarding what the group should be.  I’m not that kind of Christian. It is up to the Father to Judge not us. Our responsibility is to love All as we love One. I want to discuss the teachings of the Bible and all their interpretations. My fear is that Christians have become known for what they are against rather than what they are for. Jesus would never act this way. Gandhi made an interesting statement. “I like your Jesus. I don’t like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Jesus.” This is a generalization, but there is a small group of us who are making things bad for the rest. People have adopted this stereotype. This makes it difficult to communicate Jesus’ incredible teachings to the unsaved. I want to change this. I think I am going to meet with people before group. This way I can get to know them better first. The energy was not good at the last Meet up. It seemed some had their own agenda. I am very open-minded. Truth is all around us. We hit a road block when we fail to check the facts. As follower of Christ it is our duty to verify, Biblically, what is right and wrong on this earthly plane. This is my intention. New Wine in New Wine Skins. Christianity is growing, living and loving everyday. This should be our identity. In faith always, Ron Ash

What is our perception of God?

I think there is an underlying issue that begins with perception.  What is our perception of God?  The truth is that our perception is very warped.  I guess much of it comes from the media.  Movies like “The Ten Commandments” and like have contributed a lot to what we only think God is.  Is God an old man in the sky?  Is God energy? Who do we think God is?

We chose to have an open mind..

We intend to move forward without fear.  Our mission is to learn, choose and inhibit our judgment.  It is not for us to judge!  We are (I Am) to teach what is good, correct and righteous.  It is up to the student to determine the course they will take.  Although we cannot be right all the time there exist a Book that can guide us.  It is not meant to be read from cover to cover, but Spirit requires us to turn to it for relief.  It is a tool of Spirit and we are guided to it where and when we need it.  It is by the hands of His Angels that we will be lead to the chapter and verse of the scripture required.

Baby Christians?

At one time I was very turned off by that expression.  What exactly is a baby Christian anyway?  From what I have seen over the years it must refer to the people who walk out of the church before the service is over after feeling that the Pastor had referred to them as such.

Today I have discovered the magic associated with the phrase.  Oh, I better be careful not to mention the word magic around mature Christians.  They have the tendency to associate the word with the demonic.  Makes you wonder who really are the babies?

Any how, today I received a epiphany!  Jesus said that we must come to him as a child.  Being a baby or child is exactly what we should be upon our acceptance of Christianity in our lives.  We must be a blank canvas.  As he said, we can’t put new wine into old wine skins or the old wine shins will burst.  This means that as we, mature Christians (LOL) concentrate on holding on to our old ways we leave no room for the new.

You see, the Kingdom is constantly growing and advancing.  Christianity is not finished yet.  It is a work in progress!
